This program allows the participant to be covered anywhere in the continental United States whether traveling, vacationing, during temporary relocation or following permanent relocation. If the participant dies while away from the Twin Cities Metropolitan area, one call to the Minnesota Cremation & Memorial Society is all that is necessary. The Minnesota Cremation & Memorial Society will arrange for the deceased participant to be transferred to an approved affiliate of our choice. With the cooperation of the participant's family, we will arrange for our approved affiliate to complete the arrangements which the participant has made with the Minnesota Cremation & Memorial Society. These arrangements will be completed without any additional expense to the participant's family or estate. The Minnesota Cremation & Memorial Society must be notified first in order for us ot fulfill our obligations under the Minnesota Cremation & Memorial Society Travel Protection Plan. The Minnesota Cremation & Memorial Society may decline its responsibility under this Minnesota Cremation Travel Protection Plan if another service provider, crematory, Cremation Society or funeral home is contacted prior to contacting the Minnesota Cremation & Memorial Society. It is wise for participants to advise other family members, care providers or institutions to call the Minnesota Cremation & Memorial Society immediately when a participant's death occurs outside St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota. This protection is only available to participants of the Minnesota Cremation & Memorial Society's pre-arranged plan who have chosen to be covered by the optional Minnesota Cremation Travel Protection Plan. The plan can only be added at the time of the original pre-arranged plan. The Minnesota Cremation Travel Protection Plan is non-refundable. |
